We all have some hobbies don’t we? I have one too- Collection of Coins and Notes of different countries. Sounds interesting, Right? Some of you might have heard of Numismatics, i.e. study of coins. Yeah, that is very cool indeed. I too have a little knowledge regarding various coins which I possess.
It all started 10 yrs back from now when my Atajan (it is how I call my grandfather with love) gave me a small bottle full of coins of Counties like India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Saudia Arabia and a few more. My Lt. Atajan had performed Hajj in 1974, hence I was priviledged to get a hold of quite old Saudi Arabian Currencies. Saudi Arabian Coins are called Riyals! And literally I have quite a few of them! Back then when he gave me his small collection I didnt knew the importance of these coins, but gradually when I started to study about currencies of the world, my interest kept growing!

This is a 2 Anna Coins minted in the year 1936! Phew, this is one of my favourite coins from my collection till date. I belonging from this highly technologically influenced generation never saw such coins and having such gem of a coin in my collection makes me feel really proud.

This is a 1/4th Riyal or 25 Halala coin of Saudi Arabia minted in 1973. This is one of many coins that my grandfather gave me from his Pilgrimage to Mecca.

Now this Coin has a story! In 2013 we visited the very famous Nathu La Pass in Sikkim, where we visited a shop and got three Chinese Coins of Hubei Province of China. This is a 7 Mace and 2 Candareens of Hubei Province!
You guessed it right! Hubei is the same province for which the deadly Coronavirus had spread and we all are in absolute Quarantine for an indefinite period.

This is another favorite coin from my collection. It is One Cent or a Penny. In Indian Rupees its value is estimated to be around $6 Dollars.
I litterally have so many coins that it is impossible for me to showcase it right here! Interested can contact me freely for any queries.
Actually in this Quarantine period I have got nothing much to do, hence I felt I could share a few of my Coin collection with you folks.
